By accessing or using the SwitchNest platform — including the website, API, mobile application, IoT device firmware, or ChatGPT integration — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
SwitchNest is a smart home automation platform that allows users to monitor and control ESP32-based smart switches, relays, and appliances; configure rooms, homes, schedules, scenes, and routines; connect AI assistants (including ChatGPT via Model Context Protocol) to control their smart home; and view device usage analytics.
3. User Accounts & Home Membership
Account Responsibility
You must create an account to use SwitchNest. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Home Roles
SwitchNest supports multiple users per home with roles: Owner, Admin, and Member. By adding a member, you grant them access to control devices according to their role.
4. Device Control & Safety
SwitchNest enables real-time control of physical electrical hardware. You are solely responsible for ensuring hardware is safely installed by a qualified professional, devices are appropriate for automation, and you have authority to control them.
5. AI & ChatGPT Integration
When you connect ChatGPT to SwitchNest, ChatGPT acts on your behalf using permissions you explicitly grant. You may revoke access at any time from SwitchNest Settings or ChatGPT Connected Apps.
